Gamification: integrating gaming into your brand strategy

April 23, 2012

This is the title I chose for the conference I gave at RDV Web 2012, an event organized by Infopresse that took place this past April 12. Gamification is not a new concept. It’s been trending since 2010, but many people still don’t fully understand its meaning. Unfortunately, the concept has been roughly managed by marketing consultants and other web gurus. To avoid this pitfall, I decided to analyze it and present my conclusions through the perspective of my own passionate pursuit over this last year: studying and creating games.

Without further ado, here is my presentation with comments to provide additional context.

As a player, strategist and game designer, I have an ambivalent relationship with gamification. This will be the subject of my talk for Tout le monde UX, an event sponsored by Will.i.am and TP1, taking place at Notman House on May 6, 2012. See you there!
