“ We are extremely proud to be the first web agency in Quebec to partner with Acquia. Joining the program will permit us to create web applications for organizations requiring commercially supported software. ”

MONTREAL, APRIL 2, 2009 – TP1 Internet 360, a Montreal web agency, announced today its partnership with Acquia, a company founded by Drupal creator Dries Buytaert offering commercial services for the wildly popular Drupal social publishing system.

Acquia provides technical support and network services for Drupal. The number of websites powered by Drupal increased exponentially in recent months. Organizations using Drupal include the United Nations, the Walt Disney Company, SonyBMG, Virgin Radio and the US government, which relies on Drupal to power recovery.org, the Obama administration's website for its economic recovery efforts.

"We are extremely proud to be the first web agency in Quebec to partner with Acquia," said Jan-Nicolas Vanderveken from TP1. "Drupal is the most powerful social publishing system available today. Joining the Acquia Partner program will permit us to create innovative web 2.0 applications for organizations requiring commercially supported software.”

Through its Partner program, Acquia also helps organizations of all sizes identify qualified Drupal solutions providers with the expertise, experience and services to meet their unique website requirements.

TP1 will expand its content management offering by utilizing Acquia's commercial support and network services for Drupal. The program will allow TP1 to leverage the Acquia Network for enterprise-class support, site management and 24/7 monitoring. Additionally, TP1 will introduce Acquia Search to its web offering, an innovative Apache Lucene-based hosted search service that provides faceted navigation and content recommendations. “We are especially excited by the new searchandising possibilities offered by Acquia Search,” added Joseph Blauer, from TP1.

A Drupal development leader in its market, TP1 has delivered dozens of Drupal-powered websites, notably for the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, the Dairy Farmers of Canada, FairWinds Partners, the MBA Association of Quebec, Tourisme Laval and the United Nations. As an Acquia partner, TP1 will offer its customers the expertise and support they need to be successful with Drupal.
